The first cafe in town built around books.

Cafe X began with a simple idea: a place in Srinagar where you could pull a book off the shelf, order a coffee and stay as long as you liked. It was the first cafe of its kind in the city, and that idea still shapes everything we do.

The rooms are dressed in antique pieces and old memories, and the tables have hosted readers, writers, trekkers and some of the valley's most interesting voices. Today Cafe X is as much a meeting place for ideas as it is a cafe.
